Bagging a bonus
Coming up against a side that conceded 50 points at home last time out, you’d expect Bristol to be amongst the tries tonight.
Three of the Bears’ five wins have come with a try bonus point and failing to get one at Exeter in round 6 was no disgrace. With that in mind, we’d recommend backing Bristol to score more than 3.5 tries (Evns, Paddy Power) in the West Country derby against Bath.
Hughes that man
Bath’s youthful back-row of Josh Bayliss, Miles Reid and Zach Mercer looks a little light on bulk, something which former England No.8 Nathan Hughes does not lack!
Hughes averages a try roughly every four-and-a-half games in his Premiership career to date and we’re backing him at 11/4 (Paddy Power) to add to his tally.
Go low in Leicester
Last season’s Leicester v Sale Sharks clash was a 70-point thriller but we’d be amazed if tonight’s game gets anywhere near close.
Sale Sharks are still looking for the best way to unlock their undoubted attacking talent, while Leicester are amongst the lowest in the league for metres, carries and clean breaks.
Less than 44.5 total match points has some appeal (5/6, Paddy Power)
